Junior Accountant


About The Job
The junior accountant will join the Finance department and report to the Finance Manager working as part of the finance and accounting function. You have a strong understanding of accounting practices and your work ensures the smooth operation of the department. As a junior accountant you are assigned a specific portion of the month end closing duties and are responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of transactions which are the basis of our internal and external reporting activities.
The position could possibly be part-time.

Key responsibilities

  • Preparation of journal entries
  • Reconciliation of banks and balance sheet accounts
  • Recording all payments, accruals and adjustments
  • Reporting VAT
  • Creating vendor payments after validation of correct approvals
  • Maintaining internal cash reporting
  • Creating and sending customer invoices
  • Preparation of payroll
  • Administrative reporting, applying for maternity/paternity leaves and sick leave reimbursements as well as liaising and advising on leave related matters
  • Develop basic financial reports as needed

About You
You have a relevant accounting/bookkeeping background and working knowledge of accruals, prepaids, deferrals, A/P, and A/R. You have experience with online banking and electronic invoice workflows including invoice approvals, processing of manual invoices etc.

You need to be well organized and able to manage time, prioritize, complete tasks and meet deadlines, as the job mainly carries out routine tasks in addition to occasional ad hoc tasks.

You are known to be proactive, detail oriented, having an enquiring mind and a positive attitude being able to communicate complex matters to others effortlessly. As you will be a small team of two people, you are a great team player that also enjoys working independently.
Furthermore you:

  • Are extremely good at reconciling and periodizing
  • Have sound experience and knowledge working with e-conomic, Danløn and electronic invoicing programs (Ibistic is a plus)
  • Have strong skills in Excel
  • Speak and read Danish fluently
